Before entering the chat you might want to know the following.

How to do cool stuff:

To change your nickname type:

/nick *new nickname*

For example:

/nick pete89

If you want to register your nick so no else can use it type:

/msg nickserv REGISTER password youremail

For example if you wish to register your nickname with the password “cucumis”, and your email is “sativus@nokotin.com”, you would type

/msg nickserv REGISTER cucumis sativus@nokotin.com

Then when you enter the chat to prove your the real deal type:

/IDENTIFY password

For example:

/IDENTIFY cucumis

Don’t worry others won’t see your password as long as you make sure you typed /.

If you want to post an action type the following:

/me loves cucumbers

Which will read as

pete89 loves cucumbers
