Mario Party DS, developed by Hudson Soft and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo DS, has finally been approved by the Coucil of Cucumber Kosher. It came to COCK’s attention that the handheld party game includes a minigame advertising for the cucumber whilst still remaining entertaining and educational.
The minigame cleverly dubbed “Cucumber Jack” is a so called 2 vs 2 match. As the name implies, the objective is to be the first team to have cut the whole cucumber into small pieces as seen in the picture to the left. To accomplish this players use their stylus to make a sweeping motion on the DS’s bottom touch screen. Many game sites have taken special notice to this particular minigame such as IGN, whom we coincidentally took the screenshot from (The previous statement counts as credit for the picture). Fans of the Mario Party franchise have also been heard claiming this to be the greatest minigame in the series both in terms of originality and “awesomeness”.
COCK applauds nintendo at their successful attempt at introducing cucumbers to the gaming community. In a press meeting they stated that they forsee more vegetables in mario games in the future. They go on to proposing a collaberation between Nintendo and themselves in hope of bringing more cucumber fun to the youth worldwide. Nintendo have apearantly shown great interest in this proposal but have yet to come out with an official statement.
